I consolidated, rewrote and optimized nine Product Guides for the petco.com Resource Center. Product guides break down the benefits of products within a specific category to help pet parents find the right solution for their pet’s needs. The old guides, called shopping guides, featured outdated content and specific product recommendations. If the catalog dropped the products, the recommendations became dead links on the page. I updated all the product guide content and consolidated guides where appropriate. I collaborated with category managers to recommended new category links instead of product page links. Recommended updates aligned with the most current category hierarchy.
